India's challenge in Perth has almost succumbed to the pace and bounce of the Perth pitch and its hard to believe that its only the 2nd day of the test match that has ended today.
This just sums up the tour for India and is a mighty disappointment for the India fans to have their team on the verge of yet another lose on foreign soil and that too only on the second day of a test match.
No doubt that Australia have been the stronger side through out the series but I think its time now for a few of the Indian greats to give way. The immediate change that I see is Sehwag being replaced by Rahane and Laxman being replaced by Rohit Sharma.
Both these players have just not got going and and it seems that age has finally got the better of them. I personally wish that I am wrong and these guys bounce back but in reality I don't see that happening.
The tour has been bitterly disappointing not only for the Indians but for the entire cricketing world as this was one of the much awaited tours.
Looking forward though, Dhoni hinting about his retirement is a bit of a worry but keeping my fingers crossed on that I would like to say that I really like the looks of Umesh Yadav and we all know that Virat Kohli is a class act. I am waiting to see how Rohit Sharma and Rahane shape up and hopefully in the next match we get to see them.
All in all the present tour is has been a flop show for the Indians but its not the end of the world. The test team needs to go through the reconstruction phase and lets hope for better performances in future.
Its gonna be mighty difficult for the selectors though !! Good luck to them !!
